The weight is 2 grams heavier from the titanium wire that is helically embedded onto the surface of the shaft. Due to the properties of the titanium material and the TBT technology, the shaft offers a firmer feel at impact while maintaining the smooth flex that our golfers have come to love. More importantly, the excessive shaft flex at impact is reined in to help the clubhead stay square through the impact zone, resulting in less miss to the left (hooks). In terms of feel, the TBT shaft will feel soft like the original FF38, but will feel much firmer at impact (similar to a conventional 5s shaft). Available in two models, the FF38 TBT 2.0 features a 0.2mm thick wire, while the FF38 TBT 3.0 has a titanium wire in width of 0.3mm for an even firmer feel at impact. Both are great for golfers that wish for distance and accuracy of a soft shaft, but prefer a solid firm feel at impact.
