Using our ground-breaking FREEFLEX TECHNOLOGY, we have successfully solved the age-old issue of distance vs. accuracy, in which one no longer has to give up on distance in favor of more accuracy or vice-versa. With a much deeper understanding of the golf shaft in a dynamic action state rather than in a static state, we discovered that the three shaft variables of weight, flex, and torque can be engineered independently in any desired combination - something that wasn't thought possible. As a result, FreeFlex shafts offer the benefits of a softer shaft for faster clubhead speed without additional strain on the body, while providing the torsional strength of a firm shaft to resist twisting at impact for better accuracy with less dispersion. The result is a truly unique shaft to add more enjoyment for golfers of all skill levels and swing styles. We believe FFT represents the next step in shaft manufacturing methodology, and invite you to explore the possibilities of our cutting-edge technology. Swing Speed: 140mph Shaft: FF38 matte blue carbon Despite it being a light and flexible shaft, it handled 147mph club speed on GC Quad for me with a 188g head. I had two grips with same gram weight and sacrificed one by razor cutting it down the side. This way I did not have to blow grips on and off to measure swing weight. Butt trimmed four half inch increments leaving the shaft at forty four inches, which came to D1 at 46 inches overall (used a Golf Pride 4plus4 grip 55 grams). I did run the spine down the back of the club, not really knowing front or back. Game Day. My warm up practice swings made a different sound- a higher pitch sound. Could not sense any transition or feel difference from a Graphite Design XC regular flex. In practice swings. If anything the club felt heavier and the flex point closer to the grip. I gained some distance on drives for the first three holes - five to eight yards. Hole four, hit over a lake that I have been playing down the side of. 18 yard improvement. Going on, I hit a number of good drives, some that should have hooked badly but didn't. The shaft seems to square the face even with bad transition and with good swings the smash factor has to be the highest I have ever experienced. Toe hits just go straight and do not start right and hook into the fairway. I can safely say that I have gained 10 yards and with good swings 15 yards. I have not teed the ball up very much, but the launch angle is good and better than the above XC shaft. I contacted you for distance and got that, but I appreciate the improvement in dispersion just as much. I will trade a duck hook for a little pull with good smash factor any day.
