Using our ground-breaking FREEFLEX TECHNOLOGY, we have successfully solved the age-old issue of distance vs. accuracy, in which one no longer has to give up on distance in favor of more accuracy or vice-versa. With a much deeper understanding of the golf shaft in a dynamic action state rather than in a static state, we discovered that the three shaft variables of weight, flex, and torque can be engineered independently in any desired combination - something that wasn't thought possible. As a result, FreeFlex shafts offer the benefits of a softer shaft for faster clubhead speed without additional strain on the body, while providing the torsional strength of a firm shaft to resist twisting at impact for better accuracy with less dispersion. The result is a truly unique shaft to add more enjoyment for golfers of all skill levels and swing styles. We believe FFT represents the next step in shaft manufacturing methodology, and invite you to explore the possibilities of our cutting-edge technology. I was working with a low single digit handicap that plays a lot of competitive amatuer golf in Oregon and Washington. Here are the best three shots I recorded with his gamer: (Left column) I installed the FF45 Special that I built to play at 47 inches, took a little weight out of his driver head to dial back the swingweight, and reduced his loft by 2 degrees (based on my personal experience with the shaft). He expressed some shock at the soft feel of the shaft, but quickly started hitting the ball noticeably farther with a nice little draw. Here are the best three I recorded with the FF shaft: (Right column) He asked if he could play a round of golf with it and texted the following after playing: "I hit that thing like 20 yards further. Crazy." Fun to see such a good result! Dave S. | Callaway Golf
