But why can’t we have both? Well, now you can. Our ground-breaking FREEFLEX TECHNOLOGY allows us to control the shaft weight, flex (cpm), and torque in any desired combination to effectively balance the trade-off between accuracy and speed needed for distance. By controlling the three variables, we at SJ Golf Lab have created the ultimate performance shafts in the FF Special-series that combine the characteristics of a flexible shaft for ease of swing and faster club speed, with those of a firmer shaft at impact to improve accuracy with less dispersion. Consistently 3-4 mph faster clubhead speed with Freeflex products vs any other shaft I have tried, including Autoflex. The "whippiness" can be off putting at first, but when you realize the clubhead WILL square up, and you get more confidence with it, the results are astounding. This Paradym / FF combo is hands down the best driver setup I've owned, and I typically run through 2-3 new drivers a year looking for the Holy Grail. For me, this is it. As to the fairway shaft, I run that in a Taylor Made Stealth 2, and it is basically a "Do-it-all" club. Want driver distance off the tee? Check.Want to hit high launching, soft dripping shots from the fairway? Check. Turn it over and let it run into the wind? Check. Truly fantastic, and the FF shaft is the engine powering the setup. Couldn't be happier!
